Series

Fushigi Yuugi(aka The Mysterious Play)
Miaka Yuki is a junior-high student desperate to pass the entrance exam for the illustrious Jonan High School. Her best friend Yui Hongo is a straight-A genius applying for the same school, and her mother is pushing her also in an attempt to see Miaka gets the best education available, although Miaka would rather attend Yotsubadai High School. The result is Miaka is constantly under pressure to study and attends juku (cram school) every day, when she rather be with her friends and eating. During a study session with Yui in the library, Miaka, in the manga, drops her pen; in the anime, she drools at the vending machine and drops her 100 yen coin. In both versions, as she chases it, she finds herself in the Restricted Section. As the girls go through the books, Miaka stumbles across The Universe of the Four Gods and both girls start to read. They're then sucked into the book-world, and after an encounter with slave-traders and a man with written on his forehead (Tamahome), return to their world. They continue on as normal, believing the whole thing to be a dream, but neither want to forget about the book, and Miaka especially cannot get her mind off her handsome rescuer. After getting into an argument with her mother, she ends up back at the library. As she starts to read The Universe of the Four Gods again, she is shocked to find what happened in her has been written in the book. She then gets sucked into the book a second time. Trying to find the boy who helped her earlier, she runs into a gang looking to sell her to a brothel. Tamahome steps in and helps her again, and in trying to repay him, gets them into a sticky situation with the Emperor's men. They try to escape the dungeon, only to come across the Emperor Hotohori himself, who explains that they believe Miaka is the legendary Priestess of Suzaku (Suzaku no Miko), a girl from another world who will gather Konan's Celestial Warriors and summon the phoenix god, Suzaku. Doing so will grant her the power to grant any three wishes. Miaka decides to accept the responsibility, and already has a head-start, as Tamahome and Hotohori are two of the seven Celestial Warriors, distinguishable by characters for their respective constellations on their bodies. The third, Nuriko, is found quickly afterwards in a somewhat unconventional fashion, and soon Miaka and company are setting out across Konan in search of the other four warriors.

Ayashi No Ceres
The story revolves around a teenage girl named Aya and her older twin brother Aki, members of the wealthy and powerful Mikage family. On their sixteenth birthday, they are called to gather in their family home to be given a special present. The present was actually some sort of test -- which Aya failed. She is proven to be a reincarnation of a tenyou (celestial maiden), and when her hidden memory is jogged, she will transform into Ceres, the tennyo. According to the legend, if left to live, the reincarnation of Ceres will bring ruin upon the Mikage family. Aya quickly finds she is being hunted by her own family who plans to kill her. She is saved by Suzumi Aogiri, another tennyo descendant, Yuhi, a very energetic teenager and Suzumi's brother-in-law, and Touya, a mysterious man with whom Aya soon falls in love. Events escalate as Aya struggles to control Ceres and her brother gains the ability to manifest as the "Progenitor", the ancestor of the Mikage family who happen to have stolen Ceres' hagoromo (celestial robe) that will help her open the gate of heaven. As Aya's allies increase, which include two tennyo like herself and the Aogiri family, and Touya, she manages to reach a compromise with Ceres such that Ceres will not manifest herself without Aya's approval so long as Aya manages to recover Ceres' lost hagoromo. Aya's quest to find Ceres' hagoromo wavers as she attempts to avoid her family, the advances of the Progenitor, and forces that threaten to tear her apart from Touya, whose lost memory may be the key to finding Ceres' hagoromo.

Imadoki!
Imadoki! is the story about Tanpopo Yamazaki, a girl who chooses to move from Hokkaido to Tokyo in order to begin high school in an entirely new environment. When she goes to see her new school, Meio Academy, she meets a young man who is planting a Tanpopo (dandelion) seed flower. At school the next day, Tanpopo is not only amazed by the modern facilities but also that she is in the same class as the young man she met the day before. He is Kugyou Kouki and he is the son of the owner of Meio. When she greets him, Kugyou pretends not to know her and she is shocked that he would act so differently from their previous meeting. Meanwhile, the students at the school discover Tanpopo is a poor girl from the country side and begin to bully her. In an effort to change the social hierarchy of the school and also find some new friends, Tanpopo cheerfully starts a gardening club. Soon, she attracts the attention of students like the insincerely kind Saionji Tsukiko and Kugyou, who begins to show his kinder side. However, just as Tanpopo and Kugyou's friendship develops and their gardening club grows, secrets of Kugyou's family life are revealed. Increasing tensions result as Tanpopo begins to fall in love with Kugyou and he reciprocates, though is held back as he is engaged to another girl of the same status.

Alice 19th
The story follows Alice Seno, a 15 year old girl forever shadowed by her older sister Mayura who is good at everything that she does. At school she is known as "Mayura's little sister" and is relentlessly tormented by the older girls who know that Alice is too meek to fight back. Alice harbors a deep affection for Kyo Wakamiya, a handsome upperclassman who is on the archery team with Mayura. On the way to school one day, Alice rescues a white rabbit from the road despite the danger to herself, but gets rescued by Kyou and receives a bracelet with a single red stone. The rabbit she saves, however, is no ordinary rabbit. She reveals her true form to Alice and introduces herself as Nyozeka. Alice is told that she is destined to become a Lotis Master. The Lotis Masters use the power of words and communication to enter the Inner Heart of others. It is a powerful ability to be used carefully as Alice soon finds out. Using the power of the Lotis Words, which reveal themselves to be in the form of runes, Alice accidentally makes her older sister disappear during a dispute over Kyo, whom Mayura had begun dating. Alice then must use the Lotis Words to try and bring her sister back from the dark. She is joined by Kyo who proves to have the Lotis powers as well, and by Frey, another Lotis master who had trained with the masters and arrives with the intention to marry Alice. Unfortunately, Mayura has been taken by the power of the Maram Words, the dark reflection of the Lotis Words. Their only hope lies in Alice and Kyo becoming the legendary Neo-Masters to discover the lost word bonding both Maram and Lotis.

Zettai Kareshi(aka Absolute Boyfriend)
Riiko Izawa has never had a boyfriend, apparently because of the extreme smallness of her breasts. As Volume 1 opens, she has just been rejected by the person she had a crush on. While she is out ranting about the recent rejection, she finds a cell phone and soon receives a call from its owner. Upon meeting him to return the phone, Riiko assumes the man is a cosplayer because of his odd style of clothing. Instead, he claims to be a salesman and directs her to a website where she can order a boyfriend. Initially skeptical, Riiko accepts after finding that there is a free three-day trial offer, which she intends to cancel after the trial expires. The next day, a large package is delivered to Riiko's home. It contains what Riiko at first thinks is a naked cadaver, but she soon finds out it is a robot, indistinguishable from a human except for a barcode hidden on the back of its ear. After a kiss which registers her as its lover, she names the figure "Night." After her three-day trial is over, Riiko finds that she cannot return him and is stuck with a bill for 100,000,000 yen (approximately 1 million USD). The mysterious salesman from Kronos Heaven, Namikiri Gaku, tells her the company will waive the bill if she will help them collect data about women's moods and feelings in order to perfect future Nightly Lover models. Unbeknownst to Riiko, her next-door neighbor and childhood friend, Soushi Asamoto, has a crush on her which he strives to hide by frequently teasing her. He has promised her mother that he will watch over Riiko while her parents are away, and when he sees Riiko with her new "boyfriend," his jealousy creates the central love triangle of the series. In order to help Riiko, Night finds a job at a local escort service. One customer kisses Night after he takes her home, and his program resets to make him the customer's lover. Riiko finds out that Night will reset whenever a new person kisses him, and that he will become the permanent lover of the first person who has sex with him. Riiko realizes that Night is important to her, and realizes she could lose him forever, so she tries everything she can to get him back before he becomes the other woman's permanent lover. She later finds out that Night doesn't know about this aspect of his programming.

Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden
In terms of basic storyline, Genbu Kaiden is like Fushigi Yugi in that Takiko becomes the priestess, has to search for the 7 Celestial warriors, and is trying to summon the god so that she can receive 3 wishes. However, this is where the similarities end. Unlike the priestesses of Suzaku and Seiryu, Takiko and her warriors are hated by the people due to a rumor that they bring impending doom. They have several assassins sent after them, and while Miaka had the luxury of consulting Tai Yi-Jun, Takiko does not, although Tai Yi-Jun has helped them in some tight spots. Furthermore, Takiko is far more aggressive and inclined to fight (armed often with a naginata) than the more naive and optimistic Miaka. Another major aspect of Genbu Kaiden that is largely different from Fushigi Yugi is the nature of the main couple's relationship. Typical for such a story, Takiko ends up falling in love with the first Celestial Warrior she meets (Rimudo), like Miaka's relationship with Tamahome. One primary difference is that that Takiko and Rimudo take longer in developing feelings for one another, allowing for a more mature relationship to form by the time they admit their feelings for one another in the 5th volume, though before that there was a great deal of tension and obvious attraction towards each other.

Appare Jipangu!
This story is about "Yusura" who was left under a cherry tree 15 years ago. She grew up as a daughter of a pharmacist and works as a "Hikeshiya", who can erase sadness from people by using the Kongoumaru which turn's blue as it absorbs people's sorrows then sends it back to the person guilty of causing the sorrow.

Epotoransu Mai
For her fifteenth birthday, Mai gets an organizer type pocket computer. One day while falling off the bed, she accidentally types in the word 'Epotoransu'. This keyword summons "the genie of the pocket computer" named Takuma. He serves Mai mainly as a confidant, but he also gives her the ability to change into any person she pleases. Now, Mai has a crush on Nimura who is a rather unique individual, a star soccer player, smart guy, and an anime freak (he loves wearing masks for Sailor Moon, etc, at school every now and again). She uses the new ability Takuma grants her to try and win the heart of Nimura, even if he thinks she's somebody else. In the end, it may be her own charm that attracts the young man, as well as Takuma.

Oishii Study
The full manga is about Itsuki Ringo (yes, her name means apple), a high school girl who loves to study. She is somewhat tricked by her mother into tutoring the brother, Tsurugi Budou, of the guy she has a crush on, Tsurugi Minori. Budou is the 'rebel' type, so at first, Ringo is frightened a bit by him. But then she follows him one day to figure out what he does to skip their tutoring sessions. She finds out about his part-time job at a cafe. There she learns about the real Budou.

Shishunki Miman Okotowari
Higuchi Asuka's mother dies shortly after she tells her teenage daughter who her father is. Only knowing the family name, Asuka goes in search to find her absent father. On her journey, she finds a guy being rather rough with a younger girl. Unable to resist, Asuka steps in by battering the guy with her motorcycle. When she discovers it was a big misunderstanding (Manato was just trying to get his sister Kazusa to go home), she drives them back to their house. Once there, Asuka finds out that Manato and Kazusa are the Sudou family she's been looking for...but the father isn't there, not to mention their mother also being dead since long ago. With no other leads, Asuka decides to move in as Nee-san (the big sister) until their father shows up. Things get tricky when love builds within the complex family relationship.

Sakura Gari
Sakura Gari is Gorgeous Taishou Era romantic story, ten years in the making. It centers around the 16 year old Tagami Masataka as he is aiming to find his place in life. While attempting to start prep school as a rounin he encounters Saiki Souma, the son of a distinguished noble of the Saiki Koushyaku family and becomes part of the Saiki household .
